A quantitative associative design was applied to twelve monthly observations from 2023, analyzed as a census using Pearson correlation and simple linear regression, with assumption checks and sensitivity tests on monthly differences and a one-month lag. The results show a very strong positive association (r = 0.980, p < 0.001), a slope coefficient of 1.102, and a coefficient of determination of 0.960. The association persisted in monthly differences (r = 0.923) but weakened with a one-month lag (r = 0.664). Distributed units never exceeded inventory level, with a mean ratio of 0.90, so the relationship largely reflects the rate at which stock is sold through rather than the quality of inventory management. The study contributes an association estimate at the product-model level for a heavy equipment company and shows how stock and distribution correlations should be read with caution. The findings are limited by twelve observations from one model, one company, and one year without control variables, so they establish neither causality nor an optimal inventory level. Monitoring the ratio of distributed units to inventory is recommended, and future research should include demand and cost data.
